Flavor Alliance is an outreach ministry of Crossover Church in Tampa, Fla. where Urban D is the lead pastor. Their ministry has seen explosive growth as their weekend attendance has grown from 40 to over 400 in just 4 years, while their Thursday teen service reaches hundreds more. Each Flavor Alliance artist is mentored by Urban D. and the staff as they serve youth and young adults in a variety of ways such as leading worship, teaching Bible Studies, preaching, and teaching talent development classes. Because of Crossover's unique approach in the urban community they have recently been featured by USA Today, CBS News, MTVU, HBO, and even received a 2006 Church Health Award from Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Conference. Flavor's music and ministry is not only impacting Florida, but is now spilling out to places all over the country as churches look to Crossover's model and book artists and workshop speakers from the team.
