I have been a Christian for 19 years and in the Christian Music Industry for nearly 15 years, and I can honestly say that I am still learning what it truly means to completely walk with and trust in God. Not just for my basic fleshly needs, but more importantly, my spiritual needs. The Lord is daily calling me out of my comfort zone and encouraging me to become the man of God he wants me to be.

7 months ago, I stepped out on faith and left the group Newsong, not really knowing what the Lord had for me and my family. He directed me to make this record and he would let me know what to do next when the time came. I have had to lean on him for everything and not my own understanding.  The one comfort I had was that I surrounded myself with Mighty Men of God who were passionate and supportive about the very things I was passionate about.

Something About Us is the blessing that has come from the fight for my marriage, and the quest to live a life of purity. I have learned that Marriage is not about Happiness, but about commitment. In my humble opinion, I think Christians should sing more about love between and man and a woman. I just heard recently that married couples are a minority in the United States.

One more thing to you, the reader and potential listener. God is the God of Romance. Just read Song of Songs and it will make a believer out of you. I pray that these songs, which for me are a musical love letter to my adoring wife, will be a blessing to you and yours or the future yours.  In my heart, I see it as a reflection of the love that God has for his bride, the church.
