BUSHWICK BILL
In New York, Richard Shaw III was born and raised in the neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn. No one would have ever imagined that this 4’6”
"little big man" would have become a legend in mainstream hip-hop.
From multi-platinum sales with the world famous Ghetto Boys, to the multiple
appearances on MTV, BET, VH1, and even an episode of Martin Lawrence's TV Show “Martin,” Bushwick Bill has done it all. Since the 1990's he has graced the stage with mainstream artists such as Bone Thugs & Harmony, KRS-ONE, L.L. Cool J, Beastie Boys, Lil’ Wayne, Ice Cube, EPMD, ICE-T and many more. He is known and respected throughout the music industry as a pioneer of mainstream gangsta rap, but is now seeking to leave a new legacy as a man of God speaking gospel annointed poetry over hardcore beats.
Bushwick Bill is bringing life changing music to his fans, instead of explicit messages of sex, drugs, violence and gore. “Testimony of Redemption” takes you through his life of sinful pleasures and emptiness, to his redemption and fulfillment in Christ. Being caught up in a whirlwind of fame left him feeling a void inside. In order to find fulfillment, he dedicated his life to the Lord. Since his newfound faith, his mission in life has been returning back to the rap game with the love that God has given him, impacting old fans and new ones alike.
