CJ EMULOUS

CJ Emulous of His Image Music Ministries is a full-time Christian Hip Hop artist, speaker, mentor and youth minister at Liberty Christian Center who travels all over the world sharing the gospel message and giving his testimony to the youth and inspiring them with exhilarating concerts. Emulous, which comes from the word emulate or to strive to be better than, describes him best. Jesus told His disciples, in order to be the best they had to make themselves least. Through serving others in humility, CJ Emulous strives daily to be the best and grow more and more like Christ.  CJ Solomon was raised in the streets of Vallejo, California known mostly for drug dealing, cop killing and prostitution. Like most, he also had a church background but strayed because he didn’t understand the significance of an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.  From age 19 to 21 years old, he lived his life according to the code of the streets.  At 21 he was incarcerated for shipping/possession of drugs with a firearm. While In federal prison, he began to study the Bible and came to understand who God was according to His Word and the grace that He offers. The Lord is truly faithful and He completely transformed CJ in less than a year later, he walked directly out of the court room on his sentencing day, fortunately to be given a second chance. CJ Emulous has been ministering through music since 2008 and has recently received invites to perform and speak at the churches of T.D Jakes, Andre Crouch and Bishop Noel Jones for 2011 and has already ministered/performed with Myles Munroe, Brenda Ellis, Flame, Everyday Process, J.R., Keisha Cole, Too Short, etc. Independently CJ Emulous has sold over 9,000 units in California alone. This year he was blessed to be featured in “Inside Tennis Magazine” 2010 with Serena Williams, an International Magazine. CJ Emulous has also been asked to partner with Luis Palau and Rick Warren for evangelism with his effective music ministry and was nominated for two Holy Hip Hop Awards. Though great accomplishments, CJ Emulous focus remains the same, “Glorify God and make Jesus treasured throughout the nations!”
