Fort Lauderdale, Florida by way of Canton Ohio, hip hop mogul, recording artist and HOLY-wood Records C.E.O. Prodigal Son releases his second national cd installlment entitled PRODIGAL SON presents WELCOME 2 HOLY-wood compilation album, which will release April 26, 2011 through powerhouse distribution company CENTRAL SOUTH/INFINITY MUSIC DISTRIBUTION. Prodigal Son is no stranger to the music industry, as his national debut release via HOLY-wood Records/CSD/INFINITY MUSIC DISTRIBUTION KINGDOM SWAGGA-NOMICS THE NEW ERA, landed at #21 on BILLBOARD GOSPEL CHARTS. 2010 Has been a remarkable year for Prodigal Son, winning gospel hip hop artist of the year at the South florida Music Awards, touring constantly and releasing free mixtapes every month so his story can be told from his perspective, starting a new awareness campaign called “Bully Me No More” which the song/video, “Hidden Rage” has been nominated for Video of the Year by the Rosa Parks Foundation, to now being honored in his home state of Florida! “Great things are on the horizon I see it!” says Prodigal Son.
Prod has branded a movement in the gospel industry namedNEW ERA. Prodigal Son says’s he and his HOLY-wood Records team will be bringing a new sound to the gospel genre as a whole. The title of this new cd WELCOME 2 HOLY-wood continues to introduce this NEW ERA sound from HOLY-wood Records, as they bring a blend of music for anyone to enjoy who purchases this groundbreaking, impactful cd. with music ranging from Hip Hop, smooth Reggae and Latin Hip Hop named by Prodigal Son Bi-Lingo where artist collab spanish/english to make a joyful noise. HOLY-wood Records has been around for the past 8yrs. and Prodigal Son describes how he came up with the name ”HOLY-wood Records. See the world goes to HOLLYWOOD for their fortune, fame, status, ect but as Christian’s we go to the Throne of GOD (YHWH). We just need to seek first the Kingdom Of God and all things will be added unto us, as described in Matthew 6:33. So instead of HOLLYWOOD we have created HOLY-wood.
