Terrance Bell
Recording Artist/Songwriter/Producer/Entrepreneur began singing at the early age of three. He started playing different musical instruments at seven years old. At the age of twelve, Terrance began directing the youth and young adult choir at the church he grew up in(Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church - Houston, Texas). He continued this capacity until his graduation from high school. Upon graduating from college, Terrance accepted a position at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church serving as Musical Director for eight years. The church and church’s music department experienced both literal and musical growth under his leadership. In 2000 Terrance carried his anointed, uplifting, and versatile music ministry to Progressive New Hope Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, where he served as Minister of Music. He enhanced their music ministry tremendously and helped transcend the entire church’s worship service. After his tenure at Progressive New Hope Baptist Church, Terrance then took on the Minister of Music position at First Shiloh Baptist Church. In January of 2004 Terrance decided to broaden his career and ministry and devote full time to his ministry, music, singing, production and other business adventures. He is also actively involved in local, state and national music workshops and seminars. Terrance has shared the stage or worked with Fred Hammond, Bishop TD Jakes, Kathy Taylor, Isreal Houghton, Kyle Bynoe, James Fortune, Karen Clark Sheard, Kierra Sheard, Mary Griffin, Martha Munizzi and many more. Terrance has recently launched Virtual Valor Entertainment, an independent record label and entertainment company. This company will not only produce great artists and music, but it will produce and promote a host of musical events such as concerts, plays, workshops, and seminars. Terrance has produced, written and arranged for many artists in several different music genres. Terrance also has ownership in publications, multimedia facilities and non-profit entities. Terrance also still works with youth in the Greater Houston area, teaching them proper vocal technique and piano. Terrance Bell has received such critical acclaim for his 2003 debut album release “Preserved” that it has garnered him a nomination for the 46th Annual Grammy Awards in the category of “Record Of The Year”, “Best Traditional Soul Gospel Album Of The Year” and “Best New Artist”. Terrance often says he just wants God to preserve his life. “I make no excuses orjustifications for my set backs, nor failures in my life. I am going to make mistakes and I am going to stumble sometimes. But in my heart I have salvation, and with this I will receive deliverance, and if I trust and have faith in God, Redemption is what He will give me.”
