THIS'L
Thi'sl (This House I Shall Live) was born in Mississippi but raised in St. Louis by his single mother. Like many before him, Thi'sl started rapping as a way to express himself. His mother was addicted to drugs, he was running with a gang and he dropped out of high school in the tenth grade to sell drugs full time. In 1999, God moved Thi'sl heart so forcibly that he committed his life to Christ. Since then he has found his purpose. First and foremost to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, secondly to reverence God his creator with his music and life, and lastly as an artist to make hip-hop music that glorifies God. Thi'sl first introduction to the Christian Music community was on his good friend Flame of Crossmovement Records debut album, "Where There's Smoke There's Fire." Shortly after that Thi'sl presence in Christian Rap was re-enforced by a feature on J.R.'s "The Metamorphosis" and Reach Records first national release 116 Clique - "The Fellowship of the Unashamed." Seeing great nationally notariety, Thi'sl manages to keep his focus and is commited to his local church. His mission through rap music is two sided. One side is to present a proper picture of Jesus to the hip-hop culture; how Jesus intends for us to live while on Earth. The other side is to make awareness to the church, on how important i tis for us not to forsake the urban culture and local missions. "Chronicles of an X Hustler," is Thi'sl current soapbox to address those things. Being deemed as a "Classic" and "must have" by listeners, Dj's and leaders in the Christian Rap Community, "Chronicles of an X Hustler" is an emotion filled ride that ends in a hustlers redemption.
