Objective: To saturate the national Hip-Hop audience with Young Chozen’s presence for several months leading up to the release of CLASS PRESIDENT. This will be done through heavy publicity, various forms of internet marketing, “Facebook’n, YouTube”ing, podcasting, radio promotions, on-air interviews and touring. The demand will be great. LET’S BUILD THE BUZZ!

Spreading the Gozpul!
The following are the components to make Class President a strong player in the market:

- Radio: Coordination for interviews on-air and product giveaways leading up to the release date.

- Retail promotions: Endcaps, special pricing, Exclusive add-ons, etc.

Touring:
In anticipation of his debut 90K Watts/Gozpul Music Group release “Class President,” YOUNG CHOZEN has teamed with my Christian Entertainment Services company 90K Watts to assist in the process of introducing him and this project to a national audience. Based in Southern California, YOUNG CHOZEN already lays claim to naming untapped Los Angeles area markets as home territories. Plans for late 2011 have featured artist on the project headlining a hip hop tour titled “The Campain” - open to booking nation-wide. In addition, joint efforts between his label and agency will see YOUNG CHOZEN and Guest featured on tour stops in key markets in the Southeast, major festival dates, and an innovative web series marketing tool will ensure YOUNG CHOZEN a household name utilizing the power and influence of YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and web communities in general.
“The Campaign” will also have Young Chozen touring Christian High Schools for Lunchtime Takeovers. Free Lunchtime concerts will be given to participating schools. Extreme branding will take place during these events. The Lunchtime takeover campaign will continue even after the release of the album. This will go on in several of our target markets. We will follow the success we have already had in Los Angeles and Australia.
Web-based Advertising:
We are gaining a more powerful blitz for marketing Young Chozen. We need to see changing banners over several months to continue to draw traffic to the web page(s), promo commercials, free album downloads, presales and even online advertising for a street team marketing group for Class President “Campaign Team”, even if they are not registered with Gozpul Road Reps. This message needs to be driven home like no other and it will take .
The components:
- Web pages - will need to be done by October 25th with the artwork files needed to Gino by October 8th.
- Banners - Six different ones needed by September 22nd.
- HTML email blast placed together to encourage pre-sale and build buzz for Class President. These need to be done twice a month for three months leading up to the release. This will be a non-abrasive way to market as it keeps the Class President and the release date fresh in everyone’s mind without spamming. This can build through the list generated externally from the download cards. The first designed email blast needs to be done on October 8th.
- E-blast from different website with web communities like DaSouth, Rapzilla, Sphere of Hip-Hop, Holy Culture Radio, and more for advertising a month before release date. At least two on each site depending on policies for the site. Needed done before November 15, 2011.
- Services for Twitter and Facebook friend and posting adder for Young Chozen to start – November 15th. This done through 90K Watts.
Video:
This fall, we shot three (3) Young Chozen videos in LA with Space Cherry films (Thi’sl, Cam, Ambassador, D-Maub, DaTruth and more) Songs Tell It, Your Stereo, and Class President were filmed! This was shot in the production studio of an LA production company that has been used for several National recording artists, along with various exterior locations.
The first video will hope to begin promotion and servicing to all national outlets in December through Aristo Media in Nashville. It will be exposed and serviced to 200 national and regional video shows plus countless online placements as well.
Also, by launching the new online series “Where’s Young Chozen” it is an entertaining look at Young Chozen and all his character. This is a web series that features Young Chozen as he interacts with several entertainers, Colleges and High School students on campus, famous eateries, and so on. We then tie each episode back to the product for promotion of strong(er) sales. Check back at 90kwatts.com or 90KWatts TV (Youtube) for episodes starting December 15tht. Shooting begins on November 15th in Los Angeles for the first 4 episodes.
Publicity:
Through the PR firm of KJPR, LLC., Kia Jones Glenn has presented and secured a tremendous amount of coverage for Young Chozen already. In addition to being named one of CCM’s onstaff writers pick for Album of the Year (all genres!), they have agreed to do a feature story on this outgoing and magnetic personality from the west coast.
A press mailing to 250 media outlets on December 1st will take place with follow-up tracking calls thereafter. The feedback will be outstanding.
Street and Web Teams:
The following are needs for street and web teamers:
- 4x6 promo cards (Needs to be in hand by July 15).
- snippet mix CD’s to hand out .
- Download cards to build a web base to continue to market to –
The street and web team marketing plan will consist of a strategy to contact and request songs at radio, blitzing the streets with promo cards and promotional CD’s and youth group reps being developed in as many places as possible. Some areas of need for building are:
- Urban Reps
- Church Reps
- College Reps
We need to empower these reps to build local bases to promote 90K Watts and Gozpul Music Group providing them with:
- Provide them with log-on information to upload and record proof of work
- Advanced copies of Class President just for Urban, Church and College Reps as an incentive for their work after proof is shown
Date for the start of developing reps is TODAY!
Interlinc/Youth Pastor Promotion:
This album needs to be serviced to youth groups across the country soon. By seeding the market with these gatekeepers nationwide before the street date, the idea is that a build-up to want this record over the coming season will occur prior to release.
We will grow and nurture the already established relationships with companies such as Youth Specialties, Dare to Share, Urban Youth Workers and others.
Radio:
“I’m So On” and “Drive Through” will go to radio in December and chart top 10 with the proper push. The hot markets for spins largely reflect that of the top markets for the record mentioned above. We will now begin to start coordinating for interviews at the stations as we draw closer to street date.
Young Chozen will record radio drops for each station and DJ that is on our list that is serviced through Robert. Coordinate with Rob Pene for radio drops at info@90kwatts.com to get the process started by November 15th.
TV:
Young Chozen TV show appearances will be lined up with the following:
- Gospel Music Channel’s
- Daystar
- TBN’s JCTV
- Live Video Taping of most of album to be done in 1st Quarter for consideration on multiple networks.
Pre-sales:
The pre-sale campaign for Class President will launch before release date. To launch this we will also utilize web banners for various web sites and retail website advertising (where possible), E-card, and also setup an advanced MP3 advanced download.
Some ideas:
- Purchase the pre-sale and receive an advance download of two songs that are exclusive and not on the record.
- Intro pre-sale price of 8.99, plus bonus items available.
- Build custom packages only available with retailers and pre-sale packages. Items will include but not limited to Notebook, Pencils, Pens, Wristbands
A New furrow: Drive Through Viral Dance Contest:
Class President will feature a Youtube Dance contest for fans. All contestants must have a facebook page and post the contest default pic, twiborn and there video of the submission on there page. This will be done prior to release.
